Tuesday, August 10



Last day to register to vote for the Municipal Elections on Tuesday, August 25. Voters may visit the Board of Registrars at the Jackson County Courthouse or visit www.alabamavotes.com for registration info.


Tuesday, August 20



Last day for a voter to apply for a regular absentee ballot. Scroll down for details on how and where to apply for an absentee ballot for the Aug. 25 Municipal Elections.


Thursday, August 24



Last day for a voter to apply for and submit an emergency absentee ballot. Last day for a voter to hand-deliver absentee ballot. Last day for a voter to postmark an absentee ballot (must be received by noon the day of the election.)​


Monday, August 25



ELECTION DAY! All registered voters may visit the their respective polling place to vote. Polls will be open from 7am-7pm. Scroll down to read details on locations of voting precincts for the city or town where you live. If a runoff is necessary, it will be held Oct. 6.



Tuesday, November 3



General Election - Registered voters may visit their respective polling places to vote in the general election.​

Deadline to Register for the Aug. 25 Election is Aug. 10.





In order to vote in the August 25 Municipal Elections, you must be registered to vote in the State of Alabama. Voters must establish residency by July 26 to vote in the municipal election.

In person at the Jackson County Board of Registrars, located inside the Jackson County Courthouse at 102 E. Laurel Street in Scottsboro. 256-574-9339


Online at the Alabama Secretary of State website (must be a resident of Alabama to apply online.) Visit www.alabamavotes.gov to print an application and return it by mail.
